First Lobster License

The first Lobster License was issued in Feb. 1892. Anyone fishing lobster traps will need a license. The cost is .01 cent per trap. Each boat and buoy or other apparatus shall be stamped or branded as in the license. A fine of $20.00 for not having a license.
